Location: Western Washington and Portland Metro Area Renton WA Home Base

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours as required.

Pay Range: $20.29 to $40.29 hourly

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Associates degree in HVAC, Facilities, or a technical discipline is highly preferred

• Previous experience in building and facilities maintenance is desired

• Strong working knowledge of various hand and powers tools

• HVAC Certification preferred or experience in this trade. EPA Refrigerant license preferred

• Prior experience with a Building Automation System is a plus

• Ability to read and use operation and service manuals

• Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills

• Strong communication, prioritization and time management skills

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to multi task

• Availability to occasionally work on-call as needed, including after hours and on weekends

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

• Must be at least 21 years' old

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled minor maintenance and repairs on various facilities systems including, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems

• Will oversee contractors for repairs not deemed minor

• Perform maintenance and repair on furniture systems, small equipment, lighting, plumbing fixtures, minor painting, furniture moves, clean-ups, and thermal comfort calls

• Assist with grounds keeping as needed -- shoveling snow, spreading salt, additional minor grounds keeping, etc.

• Support the labs and PSCs in construction and reconfiguration projects

• Communicate effectively with the lab team to discuss the status of their maintenance needs

• Document all work performed in an accurate and timely manner
