The Boeing Company is looking for an Estimating and Pricing Specialist based out of Everett, WA or Renton, WA.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Estimating & Pricing specialist to join our Factory Support Estimating team. In this role, you’ll work with Operations and Manufacturing personnel across all of BCA’s major product lines (737, 747, 767, 777, 787) to bring a heightened level of financial acumen to our factories. Prime responsibilities will include cost/benefit assessments for production optimization proposals, data analytics & visualization to inform fact-based decision making, and general financial and economic guidance to our Operations teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program.

  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices.

  • Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals.

  • Develops estimating and pricing methods.

  • Evaluates and develops business cases.

  • Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).

  • Develops and maintains pricing models.

  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements.

  • Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals.

  • Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data and making recommendations to take appropriate actions based on findings

  • 2+ years of experience with business case analysis (ie. ROI, Cost/Benefit)

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • 3+ years in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • 3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in a technical, operational or manufacturing environment with the ability to translate that knowledge into financial opportunities

  • Ability to use advanced analytical/business intelligence tools/methods to provide simple financial solutions to complex issues

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
