Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers.Requisition SummaryPerform varied cost accounting activities with a high level of autonomy to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, analysis, and general ledger activity. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with statistical inventory counts, internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. This position will report to the Cost Accounting Supervisor.Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesPrepare Sales-per-day reports in an accurate and timely mannerPerform daily margin review and analysisPerform monthly reconciliations and reserve analysis surrounding inventory transactions, including gross inventory, reporting of Profits in Inventory and surplus & obsolete reservesPrepare monthly journal entries and review accounts that are linked to inventoryCommunicate across business departments to ensure proper analysis of reserves and monthly forecastPrepare monthly financial reporting scheduleDevelop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costsPerform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits.Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in SAP, Excel, Access and SQLPerform SOX testing as assignedSupport internal and external audit requestsOther duties and accounting functions as assignedQualificationsBS / BA in Accounting or FinanceMaster's Degree or CPA preferred0 to 2 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibilityExcellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a "big picture" focusStrong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projectsOutstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivatedUnderstanding of US GAAPRequires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPointMust be able to travel periodically within the US and internationallyAdditional Job Board InformationPACCAR Parts is an eVerify Employer.PACCAR has success with diverse teams of employees working together to achieve excellent results.
