Sekisui Aerospace Composite Technician - 1st Shift in Renton, Washington

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr - $36.00/hr Dependent on Experience Schedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday Position The Composite Technician focuses on producing and developing composite materials to enhance quality and efficiency. They are responsible for coordinating with engineers to study and improve designs and shop-aids, as well as operate machines and equipment with an eye for developing strategies and workflow. The Composite Tech will: Prepare composite components for assembly. Manufacture composite components using layup and bladder molding practices. Perform repairs on composite components. Arrange molds and tooling for composite production. Inspect and test composite components for defects. Maintain and troubleshoot composite assembly equipment. Maintain accurate records of composite and assembly activities. Develop and implement processes and procedures for composite and assembly. Prepare molds and dies. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, shop aids, and written instructions with limited supervision. Ability to understand and adhere to all safety and quality policies. Experience in composite manufacturing or related fields preferred. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Attention to detail and quality control skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical dexterity and ability to work with complex parts. Education: High school diploma or GED certificate Preferred Experience: 1 to 3 years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
