The Role We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, deploy, operate, sustain, and grow the software systems that build, scale, monitor, secure, manage, and automate PACCAR\'s cloud services. The Cloud Engineering team within Digital drives the stability and sustainability of next-generation systems and discovers innovative ways to scale and operate them reliably. In this role, you will work with Systems and Software Engineers to create proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable your team to manage the health of cloud services, distributed server fleets, and the software stacks across AWS, GCP and Azure. You will deploy and monitor the systems and automation to ensure that tooling is operating optimally. You will utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes to continuously improve systems. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, be detail driven, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be comfortable designing, building, deploying, and operating. You will also be responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues. The Cloud Engineer will demonstrate sound knowledge of Linux and shell scripting concepts and theory and have some experience participating in systems deployment and support. The Cloud Engineering team supports global adoption of cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure and core tooling in the PACCAR Digital Platform that enables application development and analytics capabilities for the company. Job Responsibilities Leverage scripting languages, such as Python and Terraform, to build automated solutions and integrations on an ad-hoc basis. Work with System Engineers, Developers, Architects, and DevOps engineers to design and implement automated solutions with CI/CD Pipelines for infrastructure and software build, deployment, and configuration. Ensure Digital Platform service level expectations are clearly defined and measurable through Service Level Objective\'s (SLO\'s) and Service Level Indicators (SLI\'s). Ensure that Instances Deployed to Cloud Platforms meet PACCAR\'s patching, monitoring and DR/Backup Standards. Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to consult, coach and provide oversight to development, business, and systems teams in defining and implementing SLOs/SLIs. Automate using Docker, Terraform, Gitflow, Jenkins, or an equivalent Maintain code and scrip
