Description This role is a remote role, however, the successful candidate must reside in one of our footprint states which are: AK, WA, OR, MT, CA, TX, NM The Clinical Informatics (Cl) Education Specialist serves as a positive, progressive learning and development informatics professional focused on supporting PSJH Cl education goals for EHR and other information systems deployment, sustainment, adoption, and optimization activities. Collaborating with other Cl team members, system analysts, and stakeholders, the Cl Education Specialist is responsible for the development of materials and learning packages with attention to adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, content efficiency and user self-sufficiency. Using established PSJH Cl instructional design models and format standards, the Sr. Cl Education Specialist will design, create, maintain, and optimize information systems education curriculum and adoption materials, including multimedia deliverables, to support in-person and virtual instructor-led training, self-paced online learning, Credential Trainer materials and other system adoption initiatives for the entire PSJH organization, its affiliates and Community Connect customers. As an informatics professional, the Cl Education Specialist also participates in system and workflow design and optimization and participates in deployment go-lives. Responsibilities also include supervised build and troubleshooting of system training environments needed for education delivery. This position requires working on multiple work assignments with varied timelines, requiring proficient use of technology and project management skills. Essential Functions: *Collaborates with other Clinical Informatics (CI) team members, business informatics, system analysts, and stakeholders to support informatics education, adoption, and communication efforts for business and clinical information systems and technologies deployment, sustainment, and optimization. *Serves as the change communication and education subject matter specialist in project teams, collaborating with core leader and Sr. Education Specialists a needed. *Supports curriculum design and review efforts providing guidance to support effective and relevant learning objectives and content. *Trains, mentors, and communicates with PSJH Affiliates, Community Connect, and PSJH Epic Credential Trainers. *Designs, writes, and creates curriculum and adoption materials, including multimedia deliverables, to support in-person and virtual instructor-led training, self-paced online learning, and other system adoption initiatives for a variety of audiences as assigned. *Authors content that is flexible, relevant, and supports end user self-sufficiency using established PSJH CI design models, formatting, publishing, and content management standards. *Designs for and develops online video and interactive training materials using eLearning authoring software as assigned to support achievement of learning objectives identified as appropriate for audience learning needs. *In collaboration with Sr. Education Specialists, develops, builds, and maintains training scenarios (e.g., patient build and practice users) in system training environments, including build documentation and supportive user references. Trouble-shoots issues related to scenarios and system training environments. *Participates in CI team content quality review processes and edits education deliverables to support consistency and adherence to CI education standards and style guidelines. *Participates in the training of end users - virtually or in-person. *Reviews assessments, evaluations, and other feedback mechanisms to determine effectiveness of education deliverables and delivery providing recommendations for and/or instituting improvements in accordance with best practice and adult learning theory to a
