Requisition Summary The primary focus of the Assistant Materials Manager is to ensure that the right products are at the right place at the right time in the aftermarket supply chain for PACCAR Parts in North America. The Assistant Materials Manager is also responsible for oversight and management of the distribution center planning staff at the PACCAR Parts Division Office. Job Functions / Responsibilities * Responsible for Inventory Planning of product that will ship to PACCAR Parts distribution centers across North America and Panama as well as products that ship directly from our suppliers to the dealer network. * Manages the team responsible for ordering based on forecasted demand, supplier management, and execution of strategic projects for the division. * Has shared responsibility with the Assistant Materials Director to create and manage yearly departmental goals and metrics for world class Supply Chain performance. * Effectively communicates and collaborates with Suppliers, the worldwide OE and Aftermarket Materials Departments, and PACCAR Parts Senior Management. * Responsible for developing the strategic direction and managing internal projects related to system and process improvements. * Supports other departments at PACCAR with resolution of issues in the supply chain with suppliers and dealers. * Responsible for recommendations in the development of yearly department and capital budgets. * Benchmarks with other companies and brings forward systems/process improvements to ensure continued excellence in Inventory Optimization and Planning Systems. Skills / Competencies * Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or Operations Management experience * Strong written and oral communication skills. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of truck parts and components * Experience implementing and executing cost savings initiatives - Lean and Six Sigma experience. * Advanced PC and database skills with ability to understand data from a variety of sources. * Team player with excellent communication skills. * Strong interpersonal and issue resolution skills. * Ability to manage under difficult and stressful situations. * Strong Negotiation skills. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $106,300.00 - $150,260.00 annually.
