Pergam Technical Services Aerial Field Engineer in Renton, Washington

Utilize ALMA helicopter-based technology to locate methane indications thereby reducing loss and improving safety. Operate equipment to conduct detection operations and define best methods using ALMA laser/infrared technology. Enhance pipeline integrity and improve power line safety. Locate and mitigate electrical transmission line safety issues utilizing knowledge of the infrared power line inspection system; and develop and install proprietary equipment on helicopters across the nation and conduct inspections at customer pipeline locations for extended periods of time. Conduct follow-up inspections with written and verbal reports to customer, applying understanding of methane detection devices and the related tunable diode laser spectroscopy (TDLS) technology. Cover all aspects of procedures with certification process (ATEX. IECEx, and FM approval); and contribute to the operations related to product development. Travel required up to 75% of the time within the United States.

Job Requirements:

*Primary requirements *

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • One year of experience working with helicopter-based technology to locate methane indications, including: setup and maintenance of equipment for remote search of methane leaks, as well multispectral equipment for aerial monitoring of power transmission networks; Deciphering data obtained during monitoring of pipelines and high-voltage networks and creating detailed reports;  Maintaining and calibrating various types of spectrometers and spectrophotometers such as mass spectrometers, infrared spectrometers (IR), and UV/VIS spectrometers; and Performing spectroscopic studies and analyses and utilizing spectroscopic techniques to identify and quantify chemicals.

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in any field.
  • Two years of experience working with helicopter-based technology to locate methane indications, including: setup and maintenance of equipment for remote search of methane leaks, as well multispectral equipment for aerial monitoring of power transmission networks; Deciphering data obtained during monitoring of pipelines and high-voltage networks and creating detailed reports;  Maintaining and calibrating various types of spectrometers and spectrophotometers such as mass spectrometers, infrared spectrometers (IR), and UV/VIS spectrometers; and Performing spectroscopic studies and analyses and utilizing spectroscopic techniques to identify and quantify chemicals.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Position at Pergam Technical Services in Renton, WA. Travel required up to 75% of the time within the United States.
