PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Senior Systems Analyst (SSA) at BECU, you will play a crucial role in translating complex business requirements into effective and efficient technical solutions. By collaborating with leaders, product owners, and engineering teams, you’ll define functional system designs and develop solutions that address critical business needs. Your expertise will drive the success of company-wide initiatives, and you will mentor other Systems Analysts, ensuring the highest standards in project delivery. Your contributions will ensure seamless integration of complex software platforms and provide technical leadership in shaping the future of BECU’s technology.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead Business Case Development: Take ownership of the process to create business cases, identify, and propose technology solutions that reduce technical debt, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver functional business value.

  • Collaborate on Roadmaps: Work closely with product owners, decision-makers, and end users to define and document product roadmaps, sprint-level goals, user stories, and outcomes to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Manage Complex Platforms: Oversee the configuration, data management, user permissions, workflows, reporting, and upgrades for complex software platforms with critical business requirements.

  • Analyze and Refine Requirements: Conduct in-depth analysis of complex requirements and acceptance criteria, refining them to ensure alignment with business and technical needs.

  • Coordinate Vendor Deliverables: Translate functional specifications into vendor requirements, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality outputs.

  • Facilitate Testing and Debugging: Lead the testing process, manage test plans, and support bug resolution, ensuring high-quality technical solutions are delivered.

  • Support Production Deployments: Manage the installation of software patches, configurations, releases, and disaster recovery plans across various systems, ensuring compliance with IT Change Control guidelines.

  • Break Down Long-Term Objectives: Work with business units to break down long-term product roadmaps into actionable objectives and help document and prioritize these tasks.

  • Mentor and Guide: Provide mentorship to less experienced Systems Analysts, helping them grow their technical skills and contributing to their professional development.

  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Manage security practices and ensure cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements are met within your program portfolio.

  • Optimize Systems: Continuously configure systems based on business drivers and day-to-day optimizations, ensuring performance and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline, or equivalent work or educational experience.

  • Minimum of seven years of experience working with business software applications.

  • Understanding of Cloud Computing theory and usage.

  • Advanced skills with SQL and relational database concepts, including data analysis, reporting, and validation (e.g., SQL queries).

  • Familiarity with multiple change management methodologies (Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall) and the ability to apply them appropriately.

  • Experience delivering solutions across all phases of the system development lifecycle, including user story creation, test planning, and production implementation.

  • Experience in managing solutions delivered across multiple programming languages and technical environments.

  • Understanding of software engineering vocabulary and data architecture, with experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other Agile development tools.

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience using tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and communicate strong business cases, including financial analysis, strategic alignment, and risk analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a technical or related field.

  • Experience managing third-party, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence across all levels of the organization.
