PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE

As a Planning & Financial Reporting Analyst at BECU, you will play a key role in the Finance Business Partner organization guiding our financial strategies by providing insightful analysis and decision support towards Financial Performance Management. Your expertise will help shape our annual financial plans and periodic forecasts, ensuring that our senior and mid-level management teams have the information they need to make informed decisions. By acting as a planning and budget liaison, you will drive financial clarity and provide strategic insights that enhance our financial health and operational efficiency. Your contributions will be instrumental in supporting BECU's commitment to financial excellence and member-focused service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be a Financial Partner: Serve as a proactive business partner, acting as the primary point of contact or part of a team for planning and reporting needs across assigned areas of the Credit Union.

  • Drive Financial Planning: Provide analytical support for the development of the annual financial plan and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with BECU’s strategic goals.

  • Prepare and Report: Prepare monthly variance reports on department expenses, projects, and FTE levels, comparing results to both plans and prior year outcomes to develop rolling forecast and year end outlook.

  • Consult and Advise: Act in a consulting capacity, providing support to Finance Business Partners and various departments to enhance financial and business decision-making.

  • Engage in Cross-Divisional Projects: Participate in a variety of assignments across different divisions, contributing to initiatives that drive organizational success.

  • Conduct Interpretive Analysis: Perform interpretive analysis to provide process owners with insights on cost improvement opportunities or efficiencies.

  • Continuously Assess: Regularly assess the Credit Union’s position relative to the annual financial plan and long-term forecasts, adapting to changing variables.

  • Coordinate Budget Education: Support or lead the budget education process for employees in other areas of the Credit Union, enhancing financial literacy and understanding.

  • Maintain Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and related regulatory matters to ensure compliance in financial reporting.

  • Prepare Forecast Documents: Assist in the preparation of planning and forecast documents for Executive Management and the Board of Directors, providing clear and actionable financial insights.

  • Develop System Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of the PeopleSoft accounting system, OneStream financial planning system, Alteryx data analytics, SQL Reporting, and Concur expense tracking to support financial analysis and reporting.

  • Perform Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses and financial forecasts as required to support evolving business needs.

  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent work-related experience.

  • Five years of related experience in a financial institution, or comparable work or educational experience using OneStream Budgeting and Planning tool, Quick View, GetXF, and various data management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA/CMA preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving to effectively address complex financial and operational challenges.

  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
