POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is a key contributor on the Talent Management team accountable for content curation and instructional design, with shared responsibility for LMS administration, learning consultation, and L&D dashboards and reporting.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Content Curation: 35%

o Independently analyze content available on the online learning platform (Skillsoft/Percipio), and provide best practices and subject matter expertise to all learning teams on available content

o In partnership with learning teams, select appropriate online learning content including videos, eLearning courses, books, podcasts, and other media to support training programs for employees at all levels and in all roles

o Independently design learning paths that support in-role development of Kemper employees as well as developing them for future roles and skills improvement

o Independently review all content used, regardless of source, for appropriately licensing

· Instructional Design: 35%

o Conduct independent, in-depth, job-task and needs analysis to identify learning objectives, training and other performance enhancement solutions (e.g., job aids, etc.)

o Designs content applying knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience, course content, audience location, etc. Selects best deliver mode (live classroom, online classroom, self-paced e-Learning modules or blended) and best training

methodologies (lecture, role play, simulations, case study, self-study, OTJT, eLearning, etc.)

o Partners with managers and subject matter experts to document and develop curriculum requirements and program designs that meet enterprise needs.

o Design and develop relevant content as needed including high-level design documents, outlines, storyboards, facilitator and student materials (PPTs, handouts, videos, pod casts, quizzes, communications, and related content)

o Create learning standards, tools, and templates for use by all learning teams

o Designs evaluation strategies and tools to measure effectiveness, and reviews evaluations and feedback to continuously improve programs

· Learning System Administration: 15%

o Administer the of the online learning platform (Skillsoft/Percipio)

o Administer Virtual Learning Platform (Adobe Connect)

o Assist in the administration of Workday Learning

§ Assigns and follows up on courses through Workday Learning

§ Maintains the HR and Talent Management & Development intranet site

§ Coordinates, schedules and tracks learning events

§ Creates training communications to drive learning

§ Researches and responds to L&D requests and questions

§ Reviews, uploads, and tests content in the LMS and related systems

§ Creates a user-experience that is easily accessible, flexible and engaging

§ Supports department-based coordinators with access to the LMS

§ In partnership with facilitators, documents all workshops and related content

§ Maintains and communicates monthly training calendar

· Consulting with learning partners: 10%

o Consult with business training teams on selection and use of online content and the use of online and virtual training tools

o Consultant at all levels and areas of the business to assess learning needs, recommend training or non-training interventions, develop learning solutions and evaluate training programs.

· Reporting and Performance Support: 5%

o Produce dashboards and reports about the use of all learning tools and resources

o Create detailed reports and statistical analyses to demonstrate utilization, completion rates, and other requests for information related to training

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree required

o Preferred: Master's degree in Instructional Design or a related field

· 2+ years curating learning content

· 4+ years of training design and delivery experience

· Prior experience working with moderately complex content and designing training for multiple delivery modalities (traditional classroom, online classroom, and self-options including eLearning).

· Has broad knowledge of instructional technologies and is proficient in the advanced use of e-Learning tools.

o Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360 required.

· Experience developing, organizing and maintaining reports

· Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft programs

· Strongly Preferred: Learning Management System (LMS) administrative/course management experience

o Workday Learning a plus
