Coding Dojo Health Information Systems Instructor in Remote, Washington

Health Information Systems Instructor - This position is full-time and remote working overnight hours in the US with students in the Saudi Arabia time zone.

The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise and be a current practitioner in relevant technical disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the content/curriculum of the Health Information Systems program.

  • Deliver instruction on Health Information Systems and related topics.

  • Facilitate group discussions, demos, and in-class remote activities.

  • Follow industry trends for Health Information Systems.

  • Play a hands-on role in curriculum development, use what you learn from working with students to make the curriculum world-class.

  • Gather and report on student metrics.

  • Work alongside Coding Dojo's Online Instruction team to deliver remote training.

  • Participate in professional training, so you stay fresh.

  • Responsible for potential deployment with any/multiple Coding Dojo clients with the ability to flex work and tasks based on client needs and requests.

Required Education, Experience, Abilities

  • Two (2) year college degree AND a minimum of two years experience in an out-patient-based position utilizing electronic health records management and patient scheduling systems; OR a minimum of three 5 years experience in an out-patient-based position utilizing electronic health records management and patient scheduling systems; OR any combination of acceptable training and experience to perform required functions.

  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques used in electronic record-keeping systems.

  • Must have a good understanding of MS Windows and other core Office applications with basic knowledge of computer hardware.

  • Must be highly proficient in Medical Terminology and have a deep understanding of assignments that require a high level of independent judgment.

  • Must have very good experience with Healthcare Data and Data Analytics tools, including MS office-Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other software packages.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, troubleshooting the reporting problems including the design issues, developing and implementing solutions.

  • Must be aware of concepts of Clinical Decision Support Systems, Healthcare Information Security, Practical Implementation of Clinical Decision Support Systems, Mobile Health Informatics, Knowledge Management in Healthcare Organizations, Social and Organizational Issues in Health Informatics, Communication Skills in Health Informatics.

  • Must have experience with the Research Methods and Information Sources in Biomedical & Health Information Sciences, Communication Skills in Health Informatics, Ethics, and Legal Issues in Health Informatics.

  • Must have a very good experience with Healthcare Information Systems and its applications, Healthcare IT Vendor Management, Health Informatics Business Intelligence Tools, Healthcare Information Security.

Preferred Skills

  • Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems(CAHIMS)

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems(CPHIMS)(Preferred)

  • Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy(CPDHTS) or any Health Information System Certificate from a reputed organization.
