PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

As the Affinity Partnership Manager at BECU, you'll be the driving force behind our strategic partnerships, bringing value not only to BECU but also to our affinity and preferred partners. Your expertise will enhance existing relationships and forge new ones, creating opportunities that align with BECU’s business objectives. By collaborating across departments, you'll ensure our partnerships reflect and amplify BECU’s brand, making a lasting impact on our growth and success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Strategize for Success: Develop and implement strategies for affinity and preferred partnerships that align with BECU’s business growth objectives, complementing and enhancing our brand.

  • Build and Nurture Relationships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing and new affinity and preferred partners, as well as Associational/Occupational Groups, creating additional sales channels and fostering mutual growth.

  • Identify New Opportunities: Research and identify potential new partnerships, working closely with BECU’s finance team to develop business cases that demonstrate the value of these opportunities.

  • Negotiate and Coordinate: Lead high-level negotiations and coordinate complex partnership and sponsorship agreements, collaborating with BECU’s legal and contracts teams to ensure smooth execution.

  • Act as a Strategic Adviser: Serve as a trusted adviser to both external partners and internal BECU teams, ensuring that partnerships meet shared objectives and contribute to our overall program success.

  • Manage Cross-Functional Plans: Define and manage cross-functional plans, ensuring that all required tasks are documented, assigned, tracked, and completed on time, keeping partnerships aligned with BECU’s goals.

  • Foster Communication: Connect key internal stakeholders with external partners, developing and executing communication plans, sharing metrics, and maintaining alignment across all activities.

  • Align with Community Efforts: Ensure that the strategy, objectives, and communication for affinity and preferred partners align with BECU’s broader community and business development initiatives.

  • Resolve Issues Proactively: Identify and address issues that affect the performance of partnerships, assigning resources as needed, and tracking and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Lead and Motivate: Provide direction, motivation, and support to project teams, driving the success of affinity programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work or educational experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years leading cross-functional programs/projects that involve key third-party partnerships.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in establishing and/or managing strategic business partnerships.

  • Minimum of 5 years in sales, business development, or strategic alliance management within a financial services organization or financial institution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, planning, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present to individuals and groups and provide top-tier customer service.

  • Proven ability to create and execute long-term sales strategies.

  • Additional experience in high-level partnership negotiations and strategic business development.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and leveraging new business opportunities.

  • Full-time availability with additional hours as necessary, and occasional travel.
