Usability Researcher BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Usability Researcher remote opportunity. Position Title: Usability Researcher Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 2 Months (Potential Chances for extension) Job Type: Full time Contract Pay Range: $60 to $65 Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Requirements: Job Description: Title: Usability Researcher Location: Remote Duration: 2 Months (Potential Chances for extension) Summary: * As a Senior UX Researcher, you'll leverage your mixed methods skills to craft a research approach as you takes on complex and nuanced topics and work to define and drive near and long-term investments. You will work closely with other user researchers, planners, and program managers to ensure that we are addressing the most critical needs and opportunities. * We're looking for someone that is forward-thinking and willing to challenge and provoke new ideas. This position requires strong research, storytelling, and organization skills, and the competence to work across teams. Job Responsibilities: * Define UX approaches, metrics, and work with others on research planning. Innovate and develop new approaches to measure user's experiences. * Execute impactful research plan(s) that provide the broad market views and deep customer insights needed to inform the product making process. * Derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data, complementing other research that you will conduct on your own or in partnership with other researchers. * Continuously inform an engineering roadmap using customer data (qualitative and quantitative). Key to this accountability will be identifying gaps and customer pain points, as well as potential customer delighters. * Land impact broadly from your customer-focused knowledge by working across engineering, design and marketing disciplines. Skills: * Expert knowledge of UX research methods * Strong written and oral communication skills * Adept at storytelling to land research insights and recommendations * Strong interpersonal, collaborative and organizational skills Education/Experience: * An advanced degree in HCI (human-computer interaction), market research, human factors, psychology, or a related field with a strong emphasis on research techniques and understanding humans / designing technology to meet their needs, or a BA/BS in one of these fields with significant industry experience * 8+ years of hands-on research and/or product planning experience, with demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing human behavioral data to improve plans and UX in a technology industry setting.
