Meta Unity Software Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Summary:

As an experienced software engineer working with Unity at Meta, you’ll be architecting and building the virtual reality experiences using Unity and improving on the Meta + Unity integrations. You’ll help deliver key products and systems across multiple disciplines including 3D graphics, device drivers, and platform development.

Required Skills:

Unity Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Building and maintaining a robust custom integration within Unity to receive and interpret camera data streams

  2. Implementing live data streaming from the motion capture system to Unity, enabling real-time character animation visualization and adjustments during capture sessions.

  3. Optimizing data transfer and processing to maintain smooth real-time performance within the Unity environment.

  4. Identifying and resolving issues related to data synchronization, mapping errors, or compatibility problems between cameras and Unity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years experience coding in C#

  2. Proficient in Unity and C#

  3. In depth knowledge of Android OS, especially in graphics and performance

  4. Experience in game or game engine development with Unity3D

  5. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

  2. Experience in 3D math and 3D graphics with OpenGL and DirectX

  3. Experience with ui/ux/design

Public Compensation:

$56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
