Job Description:

Typical Day in the Role

Purpose of the Team:

  • Ops team sits within CCT and manages data platform, automation and operations for CCT programs and communities.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage program requirements, plans, timeline, issues, risks and challenges. Support Managers to drive a program or projects.

  • Work closely with program/process owners, stakeholders and business partners to identify business change and drive the consensus necessary to adopt a manageable change strategy.

  • Manage programs and projects involving multiple parties/organizations with conflicting agendas and business priorities.

  • Lead cross-organization project teams towards targeted and scheduled outcomes.

  • Engage with program/process owners, stakeholders and business partners as necessary to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress.

Key Projects:

  • Setting up communities, including creating back-end forms and workflows needed to orchestrate various customer connection activities

  • Project management of Microsoft Community Programs, including Customer Connection Programs, MVP programs, MFUG and CDAC

  • Act as the initial point of contact for customer queries for community programs

  • Setting up and driving community calls and webinars - includes setting up the event, creating invites, content reviews, and post-call reporting and analytics

  • Monitoring and tracking customer activities in the community Teams sites, to ensure customers receive responses from Microsoft in a timely fashion, and that activities are recorded for the purpose of badging

  • Monthly and ad-hoc status reporting for community programs to key internal stakeholders

  • Run Private Previews and other early-stage co-development activities within the programs

  • Provide reporting and develop specs for PowerBI dashboard for various program components, including Azure DevOps engagements and TAP Validation tool feedback

  • Develop a comprehensive playbook of operational processes used within the community programs

  • Event planning and execution

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:

The role will consist of 30-40% meetings, 30-40% process execution, 20% project work

Candidate Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 1-2 overall years of experience in the field.

  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for this role.

  • Disqualifiers: Candidates with Lack of Azure DevOps Experience, Inadequate Microsoft Office Skills, Insufficient Teams experience, and No Background in Engineering Orgs.

  • Best vs. Average: Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work, especially in monitoring and responding to the community of customers. Candidates should be familiar with advanced features of Microsoft Teams, indicating good communication and collaboration skills. Best: high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others. While not mandatory, having a basic understanding of data and Power BI is considered a nice-to-have skill.

  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on KPIs are in place for standard processes, project work assessed based on impact

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)

  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite:.

  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Teams.

Summary:

The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope

  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising

  • Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements

  • Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs

  • Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing

  • Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures

  • Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses

  • Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized

  • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

  • PMP or PMI certification

  • 0-2 years experience

  • Proven project management experience

  • People management and team building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities

  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization

  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions

  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
