Summary:
Meta Reality Labs (RL) is developing the future of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Within RL, the Display Team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help lead the design, development, and operation of metrology and related capabilities supporting R&D of display systems.Display TPMs must excel in many areas including communication, organization, strategic planning, and technical understanding. Ideal candidates will have a proven technical foundation and demonstrated capability to build relationships, champion effective process, motivate cross functional teams, and remove barriers to the team’s success and smooth and predictable program execution. This is a highly valued and visible position with a critical role in providing our customers with the best user-experience in the industry for AR/VR products.

Technical Program Manager - Metrology Responsibilities:
Coordinate the definition, development, and deployment of metrology tools for AR/VR systems at Meta.
Work with a cross-functional team of System, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Software, and Computer Vision engineers to set milestones, create integration plans and identify/address potential setbacks, enabling the definition and execution of programs.
Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of programs.
Manage communication within and between internal engineering and external teams.
Effectively communicate program status, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing environment to ensure on time delivery.
Ensure team deliverables are in sync with the overall program deliverables and schedule.
Interact with test equipment vendors as needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
Coordinate with factories regarding the delivery and installation of the tools to support technology and production builds.
Up to 25% travel.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
5+ years of experience in developing custom optical metrology tool development either as an engineer, engineering manager or technical project manager.
Working knowledge of optical engineering, mechatronics and machine control software.
Communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and across technical and non-technical teams.
Track record of experience operating under own initiative within complex organizations, problem-solving, demonstrating resourcefulness and pivoting based on changing situations, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
Knowledge of program and issue tracking.
Track record of effectiveness in gathering buy-in, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and evaluating requirements across diverse stakeholders and creating an agreement on product execution.

Public Compensation:
$102,000/year to $157,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
