Create, align, and execute sourcing and category strategies to continuously reevaluate and optimize Microsoft's enterprise-wide logistical functions or supply chain. Evaluate metrics and processes, such as best value, supplier cost competitiveness, and product lifecycle including continuity of fulfillment and supply, and supply-base development and oversight. Collaborate with cross functional teams to aggregate the diverse demands of Microsoft's businesses and identify, develop, manage, and optimize suppliers, systems, processes, and organizational capabilities and capacity. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, or related workers involved in procuring materials, products, or services. Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business verticals. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic area as assigned Microsoft office location.

 

Requirements:

 

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Logistics, Logistical Science, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

     

  • EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of experience in order operations, planning and/or compliance.

     

  • SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires at least 6 months of experience in: Supply Chain, Supply & Demand Planning; Presentation and Interpersonal Communication in Business Domains; and Data Analysis; and education or experience in: Parametric and Non-parametric Statistical Analysis; Microsoft Power BI; Network Optimization; and SQL Programming.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code TSKBQ18064), in Redmond, WA, is $113,284 to $143,284.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 paid holidays and personal days (full-time employees receive 6 holidays plus 4 personal days; part-time employees receive 2 holidays plus 2 personal days), and receive up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 80 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
