Duties: Create, align, and execute sourcing and category strategies to continuously reevaluate and optimize Microsoft's enterprise-wide logistical functions or supply chain. Evaluate metrics and processes, such as best value, supplier cost competitiveness, and product lifecycle including continuity of fulfillment and supply, and supply-base development and oversight. Collaborate with cross functional teams to aggregate the diverse demands of Microsoft's businesses and identify, develop, manage, and optimize suppliers, systems, processes, and organizational capabilities and capacity. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, or related workers involved in procuring materials, products, or services. Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business verticals..
Requirements:
Education and experience: Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications or other tech-related degrees. 24 months of experience in job offered or in a related occupation. Specific Skills: Requires 2 years of experience in each of the following: 1. Material and supply management: Managing raw material supply plan and determining prioritization to support customer demand. 2. Supplier management: Training suppliers to new process and managing supplier performance in new process. 3. Demand Supply Management: Managing suppliers demand and supply performance by using all the demand signal and supply commitment from suppliers to drive material readiness and resolve critical supply constraints. 4. Knowledge of server product and process: Monitoring cycle time performance and utilizing understanding of products and processes to pinpoint and implement strategies aimed at reducing the cycle time for server orders.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
