Amazon Supplier Performance Manager - PCBA, Project Kuiper in Redmond, Washington
Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
We are seeking an experienced Supplier Performance Manager to join our Electronic Supply Chain team and lead PCBA supplier performance and operational excellence initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for day to day operations and manufacturing performance at suppliers, and for support on yield improvements and operational efficiency projects, while ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality PCBAs for our satellite constellation.
Up to 50% travel required.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive supplier performance management and operational excellence across PCBA contract manufacturers
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, capacity, and manufacturing efficiency
• Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and reporting systems
• Identify and resolve supplier operational constraints affecting production
• Manage WIP and inventory optimization at contract manufacturers
• Lead supplier technical and operational reviews
• Analyze impact of engineering changes on manufacturing operations
• Oversee production line improvement projects
• Monitor supplier capacity utilization and maintenance programs

Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field
• 3+ years of experience managing PCBA contract manufacturers
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management platforms
• Track record of driving supplier performance improvements
• Experience in developing and implementing operational metrics and KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or MBA
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python)
• Knowledge of aerospace or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
• International supplier management experience
• Experience with DFM and yield improvement programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
