The Responsible Procurement & Compliance function within Procurement holds corporate accountability to drive social equity, diversity and sustainability impact through our supply chain and ensure suppliers who perform work on Microsoft’s behalf adhere to the same high ethical, social, and regulatory standards and requirement as Microsoft.

Responsible Procurement & Compliance is looking for a Supplier Diversity Program Manager to be part of our team.   • Support initiatives, projects, policies, and processes that drive key results to advance diverse supplier spend and sustainable growth opportunities for diverse owned businesses across the company.

  • Partner across Procurement and the supplier diversity community to seek and deliver a scalable pipeline of diverse suppliers for Microsoft. This includes supplier diversity certification vetting, supplier capability reviews, supplier to stakeholder introductions, etc.

  • Help create individualized experiences for diverse suppliers to ensure readiness to build long-term relationships, and to match supplier capabilities with Microsoft business needs.

  • Advocate for the advancement of diverse owned businesses through strong storytelling, accurate reporting and analysis, and external peer engagements with diversity organizations and non-profit industry advocacy groups.

  • Consistently demonstrate your ability to work with and within a diverse and inclusive team.

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to Procurement and business stakeholders to progress organizational and company DE&I priorities.

  • Support process and operational improvements by leveraging digital tools to create scale, simplicity, and a better overall experience. Identify new opportunities to increase efficiency and articulate the value to the business.

  • Support diversity spend reporting requirements/processes to monitor and measure progress against goals and objects.

  • Administrative support as needed (budgeting, PO submission, etc.)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 3+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree plus a minimum of (5) years business experience in the field of procurement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and/or business program operations, or a combination of higher education and 5+ of Supplier Diversity experience.

  • Experience supporting a Supplier Diversity program or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives is preferred.

  • Demonstrative experience in providing strategy and thought leadership within areas of Procurement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, or general business program operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to distill and deliver complex, ambiguous information to a variety of audiences.

  • Reporting and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Adept problem solver with solid judgement.

  • Ability to persuade others through indirect influence.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
