Amazon Sr. Workspace Strategist, Project Kuiper in Redmond, Washington

Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Workspace Strategic Program Manager role is responsible for the development and execution of the global workplace strategy for Kuiper. They make it their mission to understand the priorities of the Kuiper business and own the growth strategy by leveraging those priorities. They act as a gatekeeper to ensure workspace is utilized in accordance to business requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate with leaders across the organization to develop workspace utilization plans at both the macro and micro level.

The successful candidate must be comfortable operating on both strategic and tactical levels, simultaneously acting as a visionary, an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. To excel in this role, you'll need a unique blend of workspace expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, where your ability to juggle multiple priorities and navigate complex challenges will be put to the test daily.

Key job responsibilities

  • Establish workspace planning tenants, goals and objectives for the Kuiper Workspace Program

  • Complete strategic workspace utilization assessments, set clear program objectives, and create and implement workspace solutions that fulfill the strategic workspace strategy.

  • Conduct workspace allocation planning sessions and complete audits to anticipate and respond to emerging mission requirements.

  • Develop, execute, track, report and maintain data to ensure accuracy of strategic workspace strategy.

  • Participate in project intake meetings to advocate for workspace projects.

  • Act as primary point of contact for leadership, operations and customers for workspace support and guidance throughout Kuiper.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with teams across Kuiper and Amazon to build workspace roadmaps that will improve the workforce experience.

  • Provide appropriate program-level reporting.

  • Own and communicate workspace strategic vision, updates, goals, program changes and roadmap to stakeholders and senior leaders.

About the team

The Kuiper Workplace Operations (KWO) team manages construction projects, workspace strategy, lab environment programming, and facilities operations for Project Kuiper. Our mission is to optimize all Facilities operations within Kuiper environments to support high-velocity satellite production.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to define and implement process improvement initiatives

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working in space planning, occupancy planning, program management, customer experience, or real estate

  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Proven knowledge of Workplace, Real Estate, Space Management and / or Facilities Management (preferred)

  • Ability to analyze occupancy data, forecast space needs, and optimize space allocation.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of driving innovation in program processes and solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
