Microsoft Corporation Sr Product Marketing Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Modern Life team defines the consumer vision, product management, business plans and go-to-market strategy for Microsoft Consumer products. As one of the company’s largest multi-billion-dollar revenue businesses, we are looking for experienced product marketing managers who know how to build products that consumers love.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will develop the next generation consumer products. In this role, you will be working with a cross functional team of talented people across engineering, design, data analysts, and go-to-market. You will develop best-in-class subscription programs by leading efforts across all consumer products including but limited to Windows, Office, One Drive, Outlook, Bing, Skype, Edge and many more that are already in development.

You will work directly with engineering teams dedicated to perfecting Microsoft lifecycle optimization experiences from awareness to acquisition through retention. This is a unique role on a new team that represents one of Microsoft biggest bets and will redefine its future. You will be in a high-pace environment that requires strategic thinking while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.


  • Deeply understand market sizing and trends across consumer lifecycle activities and synthetize this information into actionable plans

  • Lead analyses to identify and test new product features that will help Microsoft develop a loved product

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition, target audiences and key product scenario to key stakeholders

  • Assess product gaps, working with engineering, planning, teams and propose mitigation plans

  • Partner closely with the Go-To-Market and Brand teams to share the new product strategy and ensure a successful product launch


  • 6+ years of experience in product management or product marketing roles is required.

  • 4+ experience in the consumer businesses is required. Subscription and lifecycle experience preferred.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a keen sense of urgency

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience in presenting and pitching ideas to senior executives

  • Self-starter who can manage through highly ambiguous situations in a start-up type of team

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required, MBA preferred
