The Senior Program Manager (Sr PM) is responsible for coordinating across the entire Kuiper program and maintaining the program schedule and program of record (POR). This is a high-visibility role responsible for cross-functional leadership and coordination across all Kuiper workstreams on both the space and ground side. This role requires knowledge of end-end space systems.

Key job responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of Program Management to develop and maintain the Kuiper schedule and program of record (POR)

• Collaborate with engineers and engineering leaders to create project execution plans with detailed dependencies.

• Understand how technical requirements and interfaces drive and tie into the program schedule

• In collaboration with the engineering and supply chain teams, participate in periodic business reviews for the ground system and service readiness domains

• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

• Work with product/program management leads to ensure that the systems development meets schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

• Drive engineering project execution, make trade-off recommendations, understand the challenges, enable solutions, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.

• Adhere to Program Management practices for the team including risk management, requirements management, verification and validation.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
