Project Kuiper is an initiative to provide global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). It's mission is to bring connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast and affordable broadband connectivity to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Sr. Manager, Product Manager – Technical, will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing infrastructure, systems, solutions, and tools for enabling B2B customers and partners in the Kuiper business team. The successful candidate must have experience in customer lifecycle management across the learn, buy, get, use, pay, serve (LBGUPS) journey. Candidates mush have expertise in enabling marketing, business development, sales, deal management, contract management, order orchestration, and fulfillment to enable customer success for large strategic B2B customers. Implementing 1P or 3P operations support systems (OSS) or business support systems (BSS) in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will work directly with customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Kuiper service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.

This role requires the ability to work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews. Candidates must be able to analyze and implement subscription lifecycle models with appropriate KPIs for different customer segments.

The best candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience within high scale fixed, wireless and satellite telecommunications services targeting consumer and enterprise verticals will be preferred.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life

  • Define the products and systems strategy for Kuiper business and finance solutions to enable revenue across different customer verticals.

  • Create product requirements, architectural designs, build vs. buy proposals, and product roadmap for use case prioritization, feature definition, and delivery.

  • Manage business systems for the entire enterprise customer life cycle from leads to contracting, and orders to billing.

  • Responsible for strategic planning to execution, working with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on that vision, e.g. engineering, sales, finance, operations, international, AWS, etc.

  • Responsible for enabling sellers, product managers, solution architects, operations, finance, and partner teams through business tools and insights.

  • Establish goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver successfully.

  • Research to identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers and business teams.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of team management experience

  • 6+ years of experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • 6+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering 1P or 3P B2B enterprise business solutions to enable strategic customers or partners

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
