The Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of our cloud products.

The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) Central Finance team drives insights by acting as an independent lens that offers its own analysis and observations, creates clarity by driving Rhythm of Business (ROB) transparency, facilitating, and leading Close, Forecast, and quarterly review rhythms, processes, and protects by ensuring compliance across the MSIO team. We are looking for a talented Senior Finance Manager to join our team.

This role requires a motivated professional who can partner and collaborate across our Engineering and corporate finance teams. The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for broad partnership and driving core financial rhythms of close and forecast for the supported businesses. This role provides deep visibility into headcount and R&D operating expenses and works closely with peers across all areas of our cloud businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting, Modeling & Analysis: Create and oversee management of a variety of financial and resource models for Operating Expense to support monthly close, quarterly forecast rhythms and analysis of specific costs on the P&L.

  • Partner closely with our engineering finance teams, corporate finance and business intelligence and data teams.

  • Rhythms of Business (ROB): Support ROB for Operating Expense teams

  • Thought Leadership: Display thought leadership by continuously improving financial processes and insightfulness of information presented.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

  • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, MS Finance preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis.

  • Experience in supply chain and/or data center infrastructure a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Proven Excel and modeling skills.

  • Thorough and detailed oriented

  • Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritize as needed

  • Strong partnering capabilities, collaborative and inclusive when working with others

  • Synthesize and communicate analyses and reporting; provide insight to senior leaders
