Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Redmond on a contract-to-hire basis. The successful candidate will oversee inventory management, accounting processes, financial reporting, audit and compliance, as well as process improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory's costing processes and ensure accurate recording and reporting of material and goods costs.

  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, adjust reserves when necessary and provide detailed management reports.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare financial statements, including reports on inventory costs, cash flow, and payroll.

  • Review and reconcile cash receipts, managing any discrepancies that may arise.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Payroll Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Identify and implement areas for improvement in accounting processes.

  • Recommend and lead the implementation of initiatives to optimize financial controls and procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial reporting issues.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to support overall business objectives.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting.

  • Knowledge of accounting software and SPSS.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
