Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Video Game Software Test Engineer to focus on graphics and rendering. in the Redmond, WA area.

This enterprise level game studio is looking for an experienced STE to join their team and help support the release of a flagship motorsport title.

Strong candidates will possess the ability to write, run, and maintain test cases for moderately complex test areas of a project. The ability to build test strategy and analyze test results is required. This role will require a significant amount of cross functional work and collaboration, as you will be embedded with Engineering and test teams working directly on the product.

In this role, you will ensure that the visual elements of our games are functioning seamlessly and meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise will help us deliver visually stunning and immersive gaming experiences, and the successful candidate should expect to deliver against these responsibilities:

-Test and validate graphics and rendering pipelines, including shaders, textures, lighting, and visual effects.

-Identify, document, and report visual bugs, graphical inconsistencies, and rendering performance issues.

-Collaborate with developers, artists, and QA teams to reproduce and resolve graphics-related issues.

-Execute performance testing to ensure smooth frame rates and efficient use of hardware resources.

Skills and Requirements

Experience creating and executing test cases and plans

Gameplay testing experience releasing a AAA or casual game title

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working with Engineering teams or cross-functionally within a game studio

Experience in quality assurance/testing with a focus on graphics or rendering. null
