The Code Insights and Experimentation Lifecycle team for Office (CIELO) is passionate about improving the developer experience for Office engineers who are dealing with the hundreds of thousands of variations in the code introduced by feature flags.

Our team is obsessed with improving the efficiency and throughput of developers working with feature flags, by continually improving the developer experience with test automation, A/B experimentation, bug management, continuous integration and deployment, and feature rollout. As a member of the team, you will collaborate closely with the Office app teams (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), and with cross-division shared infrastructure teams to improve the way engineers in Office deliver features to customers. You should love the idea of learning new technologies, proving out ideas, and building the best of breed services, bots, client SDKs, analytic tools, and systems that make engineer’s lives better and work easier. The work you do will have a direct impact in Office, and the future of development at Microsoft.



What you will do?

Required Qualifications:

  • Experiencewith C#, C++, TypeScript, Java or Python

  • Some knowledgeofbig data technologies such asSQL,Spark, Azure Data Lake, and Cosmos

  • Somerelevant software design and development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Mathematicsor equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with design, development, debugging, testing, etc.

  • Good understanding of data structures,algorithms,and software engineering concepts

  • A strong sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn, share and improve
