Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer II in Redmond, Washington

The Microsoft Copilot Studio Agents team is on a mission to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) automations into business applications, simplifying workflows, extending human ability and increasing productivity. Utilizing automated triggers and asynchronous large language model orchestration (LLM), agents will address previously intractable problems. We are looking for a talented front-end Software Engineer II that would design and build intuitive interfaces that enable users to create and deploy agent capabilities that solve real world problems at scale.

The Power Platform always places the customer and quality at the core democratizing the AI space by empowering citizens to make smarter, faster decisions relying on the ecosystem of Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate. The Copilot Studio is also the extension mechanism for Microsoft’s family of Copilots serving millions of end users.

Responsibilities

  • Design & implement well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data/telemetry to make decisions.

  • Develop and maintain the full stack of our team, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Continuously improve our platform by identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.

  • Lead by example by producing extensible and maintainable code.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment with the team's and Microsoft’s standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and front-end state management solutions such as Redux, Recoil, MobX, or similar.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in JavaScript UI client frameworks, such as React or Angular.

  • Experience with Cloud Computing Platforms, such as Azure or AWS.

  • Experience with Generative AI technologies

  • Experience with Data Storage Technologies, such as SQL or NoSQL.

  • Experience in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM ecosystem, or equivalent

  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, such as Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with large scale distributed SaaS architectures.

  • Experience with communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across disciplines, within engineering team, and across partner groups.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
