The Mixed Reality Display Software team is responsible for building the display pipeline software and firmware, from the operating system to hardware silicon, for Mixed Reality products. We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer II with experience in developing and testing drivers, firmware, and/or embedded software to deliver the next generation of display technology to an exciting new project with us.

Responsibilities
Design and develop display automation test software and hardware infrastructure for new Mixed Reality development platforms and products.
Expand and maintain continuous integration pipelines for multiple display software branches.
Help define and finalize the next generation of Mixed Reality display requirements in both software and hardware.
Assist with new display hardware bring-up, device manufacturing, and failure analysis.
Review and provide feedback on incoming software and firmware code changes.
Provide documentation on display software/firmware test designs and troubleshooting tips.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years' experience with Azure DevOps pipeline.
1+ Year creating Test Automation framework using Python

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Python.
OR equivalent experience.
Experience in Qualcomm SoC (System on Chip) .
Hands-on experience working with display hardware bring-up, calibration, and manufacturing.
Experience in AR/VR technology.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
