The UX Platform team is looking for a Senior UX/UI Engineer who will create the next generation of the front-end platform to power all our global web experiences. You will be building scalable, quality, and performance frontend frameworks. You will be part of a team of best-in-class engineers, solve technical challenges, and stretch the capabilities of distributed systems.

As a a Senior UX/UI Engineer you will build design systems and pro-actively problem-solver= with a passion for getting the details right. They understand that the backbone of creating excel good, and accessible web experiences are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - the fundamental building blocks of the web. They know these technologies down to the core - their strengths and their weaknesses. Their deep understanding of these technologies allows them to make informed architectural decisions and appropriate trade-offs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend framework code that empowers developers to create fast and efficient web applications.

• Collaborate with UX developers to implement innovative features and experiences to enhance user satisfaction.

• Ensure framework is optimized for security, performance and responsiveness across browsers and devices.

• Work along with operations to ensure productsmaintaina high availability signal.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to maintain code quality and reliability.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern technologies like Node.js, Python, Vue, Typescript, .NET or similar.

• Experience debugging websites and analyzing client-sidetelemetry.

• Procifient solution design, problem solving, debugging and communication skills.

• Experience in building and shipping large-scale products/services.

• Experience working on teams that focus on platforms for services.

• Experience with native or low-level development is an asset.

• Experience with build systems and compilers are an asset.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
