Join us as we take Microsoft Teams, our fast-growing collaboration product to the next level. We are looking to hire a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to define and deliver new ways to connect people, improve communication, and facilitate collaboration across a wide range of business applications and corporate cultures.

Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Teams Special Clouds team work to build Teams in new clouds and deliver new features to customers with special requirements for collaboration, such as data residency and network isolation. This TPM will identify requirements for each environment, design and lead development of Teams features specialized for those environments, and work to optimize deployment of dependencies and services enabling Teams in special clouds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Teams (and new features) into special cloud environments

  • Identify and prioritize requirements for customers. Author specifications and plans for delivering features these customers.

  • Deliver improvement options, data analysis, present proposals for change, requirements definition, and delivery of capabilities.

  • Develop automation, dashboards, and metrics for tracking feature delivery and improving feature performance.

  • Manage dependencies across teams to ensure that features land on time with the required scope across desktop, mobile and web.

  • Track all defined deliverables from conception through launch, leveraging established processes, tools, and communications mechanisms

  • Provide regular written and presented updates on work to leadership and customers.

  • Provide technical and product leadership to a team of highly passionate engineers.

  • Work closely with partner teams, building trust and influencing how they can help deliver requirements for special clouds.

  • Engage with service owners to triage, prioritize, and address customer feedback for your area.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of web and mobile technologies, service operations at scale, and general ability to ramp up and go deep in new technical areas.

  • Written, presentation, and verbal communications skills that can applied across organizational levels

  • Innate curiosity and ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly-changing startup environment. Self-starters and innovators with a positive, collaborative can-do attitude and bias for action are very welcome.

  • Project management, leadership, dependency management and cross-group collaboration skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects with many partners.

  • Ability to build trust with customers & internal and external partners through quality delivery and integrity

  • Great problem-solving skills and strategic thinking

  • United States citizenship (required for some special cloud projects)

  • Experience working on delivering cloud services for the US government entities or contractors

  • Experience delivering cloud services in many regions worldwide.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
