As a front-end engineer, you will be an integral part of our tight-knit group of dedicated problem solvers. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly make an impact on the web team and work with the larger Flipgrid team to deliver an innovative and meaningful learning experience to millions of students and educators.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead thedeliveryofweb experiences that are highly crafted and rewarding to theFlipgridcommunity.

  • Coordinate the collaboration betweenweb, design, and product teams to ensure the goals of the product are aligned with the delivered featureor service.

  • Architect anddeliverexperiences that are user-focused and adhere to accessibility standards.

  • Workwith the product development team in driving innovative approaches to solving complex problems.

  • Develop and maintain code standards regarding quality, privacy, accessibility, security, documentation, etc.

  • A strong commitment tomentorship andmakingyour fellow engineers better.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years offront-end web development experience (HTML,Javascript, CSS, Usability Testing).

  • 3+years ofexperience using a modernJavascriptFramework (React, Vue, Angular).

  • Experience building rich multimedia experiences usingWebRTC.

  • Experience developing features and experiences forlarge-scale,customerfacing applications across bothmobileanddesktop.

  • A strong working knowledge of REST APIs.

  • Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshootJavascriptand UI/CSS issues and knowledge of optimizations for high performance user experiences.

  • Experience building accessible applications that followWCAGand ADA specifications.
