Microsoft Corporation Senior Software Development Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Payment, invoicing and settlement are the fundamental for a commerce platform. We ensure that customer transactions are processed in a secure and highly reliable manner. The Core Commerce Platform Payment & Settlement team builds services enables the payment capability - processing payment transactions, managing payment method and reconciliation across multiple Microsoft key businesses: XBOX, Microsoft Store, Office 365, Azure. The whole payment stack continuous expanding its footprint in around 200+ counties globally.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership: architecture, design, coding and testing principles, CI/CD pipelines.

Deliver highly available distributed microservices that's critical part of an end to end commerce solution for entire Microsoft.

Work on modernizing highly time sensitive data processing system with huge scale and very low margin for error.

Work on cutting edge commerce technologies that are critical for Microsoft’s business.

Continuously adopt latest technologies to the services to keep service modern.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

6+ year of relevant software design and development experience

Strong experience with C#, C/C++, or Java or any language to build large scale services

Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills

Experience with building large scale commercial systems

Extensive experience with at least one Public Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in commerce systems is a plus

Experience to work in an agile development team

SQL Experience is a plus
