Within the Windows and Devices (W+D) organization, we are the Microsoft Devices Operations organization (MDO) .

MDO is currently seeking a Senior S&OE Manager to manage the demand planning process, ensuring alignment with our product strategies and connecting this to supply supportability to enable our field teams to support our Retail partners with the availability of our products.

The Senior S&OE Manager will leverage skills managing complex internal and external relationships and demonstrate experience in leading strategic projects from requirements to implementation. Leadership and analytical thinking are also necessary to have the right level of impact and influence.

Responsibilities

  • Be a team player who is motivated to learn and grow, passionate, willing to influence and drive positive channel expectations. Motivated to lead impactful projects and use inventory management strategy and tactics to ensure Microsoft Devices can realize their business goals.

  • Ensure supply chain continuity and alignment between global supply chain operations and Americas regional stakeholders to result in optimal processes, reduced costs, and successful customer experiences. A successful candidate for this role will bring effective analytical and communication skills, driving solid decisions under continued uncertainty and change, while also driving continued improvement in our operations, processes, and tools. Some key areas of responsibility for this role:

  • Own the end-to-end demand planning process, managing forecasts for an optimal capacity plan that aligns to our product strategy and business targets. 

  • Proactively identifying risks and opportunities and mitigating using the levers available.

  • Lead Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) forums to balance demand and supply risks and drive clarity and alignment across functional teams. 

  • Engage and build positive relationships with a wide set of stakeholders, from Supply Chain and Channel Management to Category, Sales, Finance and Logistics teams, driving clarity and alignment on business needs. 

  • Continually develop and improve our processes and tools to keep pace with a changing business environment and advancing technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.

  • Build trust and credibility in managing existing relationships with internal teams while applying expertise to cross-functional and partner teams. Manages and balances escalations to and from stakeholders and determines necessity of requests from stakeholders to identify and escalate requests as needed, filtering non-applicable requests. Connects customer/partner opportunities with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Sales, Marketing) and advocates for customers/partners to internal teams. Defines

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years' experience in a demand / supply forecasting role.

  • 2+ years' experience with stakeholder management (such as sales, category, channel operations, finance, or other internal and external partners)

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science,

  • OR related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management

  • OR sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in Enterprise ERP tools.

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization (Excel add-ons for demand planning such as IBP and PBI)

  • Experience developing and understanding product and business strategy, and connecting strategy to operations execution.

Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
