Amazon Corporate LLC Senior SATCOM Ground Systems Engineer in Redmond, Washington
As a Senior SATCOM Ground Systems Engineer, you will be a leader in the technical development of mission critical Kuiper Ground Systems. These systems include state of art full motion tracking antennas, modems, and innovative supporting systems. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, qualify, produce, and globally deploy innovative solutions and products enabling Kuiper's global network.In this role you will:* Become am owner and key member of the Ground Systems development team, a collaborative engineering team comprised of software, hardware, systems, RF, and integration and test engineers.** Be a technical leader working with both internal teams and suppliers to develop integrated terminal products and solutions for gateways and tracking, telemetry, and control systems.** Develop solutions to demanding design problems enabling Amazon's to fully realize the Kuiper connectivity product.** Lead the conduct in-depth design reviews including preparing design review documentation and artifacts.** Develop specifications, requirements, and designs and perform analyses, prepare documentation, and conduct presentations for parabolic LEO TTandC systems** Lead development of verification and validation plans to ensure our products meet technical, functional, performance, and business requirements** Provide leadership in the development of gateway monitoring and control systems and methodologies.Export Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related degree, or equivalent experience.* Minimum of 8 years of system engineering experience in development and delivery of satellite communications systems.* Minimum of 2 years experience in development of LEO/MEO systems.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
