WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Project Manager-Digital Solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely. Be involved in projects with our Digital Solutions Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Oversee the development and incorporation of advanced technology, modeling techniques, algorithms, concept development, new experimental frameworks, and analytical strategies to mine stores of big data, identify patterns and trends, and form hypotheses.
Oversee and monitor cross-functional team(s) of data scientists, engineers, planners, and other professionals to oversee and execute project work on multiple concurrent projects for internal and external clients, leading and reviewing efforts of software implementations.
Involved from project inception to completion in the management of larger-scale and complex data science projects ensuring contributors know what they are required to do and by when, preparing and overseeing relevant project budgets, monitoring external events, tracking hours and expenses, ensuring satisfactory performance, and supervising subcontractors, contract work, and employees.
Meet with various internal, external, public or private entities or individuals to discuss issues relating to a variety of digital solutions challenges and programs.
Assist with development and scoping of larger-scale projects.
Provide leadership oversight, guidance, training and mentoring to digital solutions staff to support their growth and professional development.
Successfully manage and oversee internal and external relationships to ensure client delivery and company growth.
Support project management teams with preparation, delivery and close out of projects.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of WSP business, vision, and market sectors, overseeing the completion of professional deliverables on projects, marketing efforts, and business development proposals.
Drive compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to the data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Undergraduate degree in Science in or Engineer related field
10+ years of relevant post education experience in data science/analysis.
Strong knowledge of Project Management Systems
Superior project planning skills, detail conscious and result oriented
Proficiency or basic familiarity of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Extensive knowledge of computer programming databases, coding and testing (e.g. SQL).
Extensive experience with data management practices, performing exploratory data analyses, and employing research techniques.
Well-developed analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations, applying logic, making decisions, and providing objectivity.
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, and effectively articulating complex data in a simple, actionable manner.
Experienced with providing critical review for documents and preparing technical deliverables and plans with a high degree of complexity.
Highly effective self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Highly effective at working independently and providing guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent accreditation in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma)
Demonstrated proficiency configuring solutions with at least one major EHS software platform
