Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) seeks an experienced program manager to drive and evolve Microsoft’s company-wide security release, like Patch Tuesday, to deliver authoritative and actionable security data to empower customers to patch the products and services they use and better manage security risk.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the strategic direction of Microsoft's security release program to deliver authoritative and actionable security update data and empower customers to better manage security risks

  • Lead and manage the security release process with stakeholders across the company to deliver monthly Patch Tuesday security updates and other regular and out-of-band security releases.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance data to identify and deliver security release process improvement and automation

  • Develop and analyze customer feedback channels to identify and deliver improvements in security release content and delivery channels for customer audience segments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in product or program management in a technology-related field (e.g. cybersecurity, IT administration, gaming, software or hardware development, biotechnology, policy, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience receiving managing security updates, for example as a as a system, network, IT administrator, developer, or product/program manager.

  • Ability to develop scalable and repeatable strategic processes and identify creative ways to improve upon existing operations.

  • Ability to help, educate, and influence stakeholders in situations with high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
