Consumer Sales and Marketing Engineering (CSME) within Core Services Engineering has a PM role on the Sales Lifecycle PM team. With a focus on Microsoft Retail Stores the work we do has a direct impact on the way Microsoft engages with customers. This team is driving the digital transformation for the stores that cater to 30 million customers annually across our 100 stores worldwide.

The Sales Lifecycle PM team focuses on defining high impact solutions across areas including Small Business and Educational Sales, Merchandising, Customer Support and Associate Support retail functions. This program management role will work as a product owner envisioning, defining and delivering compelling end user solution scenarios that enable the ongoing digital transformation of our retail store operations.

This role works in partnership with software engineering teams within CSME and across Microsoft as well as Retail business stakeholders, both corporate and in the field. A deep understanding of our retail business is preferable. The program manager will be responsible for building out scenarios that address the most important business pain points and new opportunities across the full lifecycle from pre-sales to post-sales support considering industry and technology trends and innovations. This is a role where innovation and ideation are encouraged.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years in Program Management or Software Development, demonstrating a sense of commitment to end-to-end product or service quality, completeness and the resulting user experience for the life of products and services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An understanding of cloud computing technologies, and emerging trends

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to navigate complex organizations

  • Deep understanding of Agile software development

  • Hands on experience with VSTS / VSO

  • Proven ability to drive large scale projects with high collaboration and leadership

  • Ability to think creatively and critically about product features, architecture, and capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering field and/or requisite job experience to match formal education

  • MBA preferred
