The Deployment team in Windows and Devices group is pivotal to bringing up our new hardware and keeping hundreds of millions of Windows devices up to date. Our team is critical to how we flight to Windows Insiders enabling a key quality strategy for Windows. Our mission is to ensure that we keep Windows devices up-to-date in a seamless manner, to empower our Customers, Insiders to achieve more by unlocking the latest capabilities, experiences and with the most secure version of Windows. We are passionate and focused on changing the way we keep Windows devices up-to-date across the planet.
We are looking for a Senior Technical PM to drive aspects of our Composition platform. The role of the platform is critical to our ability as a business to efficiently differentiate product composition for all devices in the Windows family and work on our vision of adaptive Windows that is tailored to what the customers want. If you’re passionate about how one of the world’s most critical software products is put together into a broad device family or you are a dreamer who wants to re-imagine the way we approach putting the Windows OS together and would like to bridge deep technical innovation to impactful business results, this is the place for you.
The work includes defining end-to-end scenarios, identifying crisp technical requirements, collaborating across disciplines and teams, to deliver end to end solutions. You must be great at communication, with a proven ability to execute leveraging cross-group collaboration. The challenge is big and so is the impact you’ll have.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Electrical Engineering
5+ years program management experience
Ability to innovate at a platform level and drive integrated, end-to-end solutions through the shipping process.
Ability to collaborate with partners to determine the best way to deliver across Windows devices.
Great problem solving skills and outstanding drive for results; ability to drive clarity, communicate goals to key stakeholders, and motivate them to execute on time and at a high quality.
Self-starter, who proactively identifies problems and drives for resolution.
