The Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team is a HW/SW development team that is responsible for designing, developing, and building the testing robots that test the functionality of hardware products such as HoloLens, Surface devices, and Xbox. We are looking for talented Engineering leaders to manage programs that result in these products being built, tested, and sold to end customers. This role is suited to candidates with backgrounds in both software and hardware engineering technology.

Our team’s systems manage the manufacturing process, run tests at each stage of production, collect detailed information about each device being built/tested and track these results for the life of each individual product. Our data is used to make critical business decisions as well as ongoing product quality improvements. Our systems are also used for analyzing product behavior for purposes of calibrating sensors, detecting display defects, and finding issues in products before customers experience them.


We are looking for a program leader who is passionate for ensuring our systems are world-class. A successful candidate will be able to work across a product’s business unit to coordinate with engineering teams leaders and engineers to deliver high-quality manufacturing systems. You must have strong technical skills, excel at working in a collaborative environment spanning multiple time zones, and be able to coordinate and prioritize numerous dependencies.

  • At least 5-years of experience as a Program Manager or similar technical discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products on time

  • Excellent project management skills, including coordinating schedules across time zones

  • Ability to prioritize multiple high-profile projects

  • Able to work across all levels of an organization

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • • A BS CS/CE/EE/ME degree or equivalent engineering degree
