On the Windows Fundamentals team, we take a holistic approach to fundamentals to enhance end-users’ experience with Windows quality. We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager with a “quality first” mindset, who is passionate about listening to customers, understanding competitive landscape, and delving into data to improve the product. You will nurture partnerships to improve experiences of 1P and 3P engineers with state-of-the-art tools, and solutions to transform debuggability of Windows issues; you will partner with customers to understand unmet needs, generate requirements and translate them into value-adding scalable features for building the most efficient engineering systems for driving OS reliability, and be a thought leader in driving fundamentals for the product forward.


  • Customer obsession: Foster empathy with the customer to critically think about solutions for customer pain points and strive to delight customers

  • Technical depth: Be data driven and leverage critical thinking to break down ambiguous areas, and leverage telemetry to define creative solutions to complex business problems

  • Collaboration: Take a holistic approach to finding innovative solutions through strong partnerships with to drive meaningful innovation for customers

  • Strategic leadership: Set the vision and product strategies, roadmap, and plan by collaborating with customers and partners to deeply understand requirements, dependencies, and risks



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience shipping software in a technical/engineering PM role


  • Proven track record of developing strong partnerships across product groups

  • Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous areas with data and define a path forward

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize concepts at the appropriate level of detail

  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-group collaboration skills, ability to see the bigger picture and focus on end-to-end scenarios

  • A quality-first mindset and passion for leveraging technology to build innovative solutions, with a good understanding of industry trends, competitor strengths

  • Experience with debugger tools, developer workflows, and Windows is a plus
