Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager, Raw Materials and Traceability in Redmond, Washington

The Devices Responsible Sourcing team is accountable for managing the environmental, health and safety, labor, human rights, and ethics risks in the Microsoft Devices hardware supply chain. We are hiring a Senior Program Manager, Responsible Sourcing of Raw Materials and Traceability.

The incumbent will have a passion for human rights and environmental stewardship. They will be responsible for advancing Microsoft’s upstream responsible sourcing of raw materials and upstream traceability frameworks and monitoring mechanisms. They will partner with business teams, industry, and other important stakeholder groups to accelerate transparency and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution of Microsoft Devices responsible sourcing of raw materials and upstream traceability programs

  • Develop long-term roadmap and drive implementation of raw materials supplier due diligence program and improvement targets

  • Provide thought leadership and drive innovation for upstream traceability and current and emerging critical minerals challenges

  • Evaluate and advise executive management on emerging raw materials policies and regulations, supply chain risks, and markettrends

  • Manage government filings and company level reporting for critical minerals

  • Oversee supplier engagement program for material disclosures

  • Drive development and advancement of key tools needed to scale programs 

  • Collaborate with internal Microsoft teams including supply chain integrity, circularity, product development, sourcing, factory management, legal, and public relations

  • Represent Microsoft in multi-stakeholder collaborations on relevantresponsible sourcing, traceability, human rights and the environmental issues in the upstream supply chain

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firmo OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and guidelines, includingOECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas

  • 3+ years experience with supply chain operations, compliance frameworks, tradeand supply chain regulations

  • 3+ years experience working with raw materials and mining industry stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS, MBA, J.D. or advanced degree preferred 

  • Board governance experience preferred

  • Demonstrated program management skills

  • Ability to travel internationally & domestically as needed 

Compliance IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
