In this role, you will help design and lead initiatives that address the needs and experiences of underrepresented groups and raise the D&I acumen of employees, managers, and leaders across Azure.

  • Help design and support Azure D&I events, communications, and other initiatives that advance our mission and One Microsoft D&I goals.

Along the way, you will get to:

  • Partner closely with, and help professionally develop, employees actively involved in the communities and programs you will support.

  • Be a thought leader on timely D&I topics.

  • Have a voice in Azure D&I strategy.

  • Continually learn, grow, and be challenged – both as a diversity, equity, and inclusion advocate and as a program manager.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of business program management experience – experience designing, leading, and improving programs for a large organization.

  • 2+ years of experience leading programs that address the unique needs and experiences of members of underrepresented groups.

  • A masters’ degree OR equivalent training in a social science, communications, education, or business field, with focused studies on topics related to D&I. (Self-educated candidates are welcome.)

  • Robust knowledge of systems of inequality and how they affect the tech industry pipeline and workplace culture; ability to communicate the value of diversity from both a business and a social justice perspective; and ability to educate and inspire others on timely D&I topics.

Preferred qualifications

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Excellent written communications skills and a sharp eye for visual branding and storytelling.

  • Excellent verbal communications, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Executive presence, leadership capability, and ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Self-motivation to continually improve, learn, and grow.

  • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic workplace, navigate ambiguity, and work autonomously as a member of a small team with a unique charter and large scope.

  • Strong data analytical skills.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to help build a more diverse and inclusive Azure team that in turn empowers our global customers to achieve more. Join us in making a positive business and social impact!
