Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

Xbox Studios Quality is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager who approaches all work with a growth mindset, customer obsession and relentless curiosity to drive product strategy and innovation across our portfolios.  

In this role, you will partner with Quality, Data, and Software Engineering to shape the vision and strategy of the product by developing creative, collaborative and customer’s value driven solutions. You will use Studio Quality’s unique position to determine the tooling, services, and technology that need to be built, leveraged, or discarded to meet business objectives and customer needs.

This position requires cross-team collaboration, the ability to influence others, technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to building solutions in a complex environment. 

As a member of Xbox Studios Quality, you will also be a part of a larger community of Quality Analysts, Engineers, Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists. You will have a tremendous opportunity to share, learn and level up quality for titles across all of Xbox Game Studios. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy and innovation across our portfolios. 

  • Design a platform that will enable Quality to “shift-left” in the software development lifecycle.  

  • Partner with Quality, Data, and Software Engineering, and other domain owners to holistically collate requirements and determine what solution should be leveraged.  

  • Engage with feature teams, including the planning and execution of a modern and innovative game quality strategy.  

  • Leverage experience to increase team efficiency and to influence our culture of quality with process and technological improvements. 

  • Identify innovative solutions that will eliminate unnecessary quality cost to engineering. 

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience diving deep into complex architectural landscapes and ability to quickly understand technical and programmatic concepts, flows, and design.   

  • 5+ years experience identifying technical needs and gaps and clearly articulating and prioritizing them to program stakeholders.   

  • 5+ years experience crafting specs, working with engineering, and driving for results that align with organizational priorities.   

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience building, shipping, and iterating on customer facing experiences.    

  • Lead cross-functional v-teams to desired outcomes.  

  • Strong written and verbal skills.   

  • Excels at influencing without authority.   

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
