Azure Monitor is the Microsoft product that helps customers achieve high-quality application experiences on our cloud and edge platforms, ensuring reliability, availability and performance. As a Senior Product Manager, we need you to lead the efforts of delivering Observability solutions that seamlessly extend from the cloud to the edge. You will work across Azure organizations to identify opportunities, define and deliver critical, customer-facing features, and work with engineering teams to deliver them. This role will have a measurable impact on customer growth and satisfaction for one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts customer research to define scenarios and requirements to land impactful outcomes for observability services at the edge.

  • Identifies opportunities for enabling Observability across the edge in a seamless experience in close collaboration with the Azure Arc and other Azure teams.

  • Understands emerging Observability trends relevant for the edge as well technical issues and how they will impact our services and programs.

  • Presents progress and project updates to leadership.

  • Contributes to an inclusive environment that fosters innovation, embraces open standards and community contributions, and enables continuous improvement of Observability services for the edge, with a modern approach to delivering on the strategy as 'One Microsoft'.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience in delivering cloud-based services to external audiences

  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

  • Other Requirements:

  • Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in cloud computing, monitoring, and operations

  • Experience working in IT and OT environments

  • Experience in cross-organizational collaboration and relationship building skills with partners including the ability to leverage technology and expertise across groups and platforms to drive clarity and alignment.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
