Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

Join the Arc Developer Experience team and be a part of the cutting-edge technology that enables Cloud Native software development on Arc Enabled Kubernetes. In this team, you'll use Arc-connected Kubernetes experiences and Open Application programming interfaces to help developers create innovative applications and services. The product will also enable DevOps to deploy and maintain Arc-connected Kubernetes clusters on which these applications and services are deployed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to understand requirements, gaps, and opportunities aligned with the team and company vision.

  • Develop features and product specifications including technical details, use cases and success metrics, leveraging both the Microsoft 1 st party developer capabilities and open soure software.

  • Deliver technical and high-caliber presentations to internal and external audiences, including feature/product documentation.

  • Understand and build experiences across groups of features or feature areas.

  • Represent Microsoft in conferences and other customer outreach opportunities.

  • Actively engage with the Kubernetes/Cloud Native Open-Source community.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Business Planning and Engineering, to identify release criteria, customer acquisition, usage, retention, and monetization strategies, with minimal guidance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in technical/product/service management role

  • Understanding of Developer ecosystem, Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes technology stacks

  • Familiarity with the cloud native technology stack, and PaaS offerings in Azure and other public cloud vendors

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
