Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager - Azure Blob Storage in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for a Senior Product Manger- Azure Blob Storage to help drive critical components of the object storage service that will enable customers to obtain deep insights and metrics about their data estate, take business critical decisions and optimize their data stored in Azure and on-premises. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the needs and challenges of customers, driving the product strategy and business, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver innovative and impactful features and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Driving a culture of quality, innovation, collaboration, teamwork and mutual respect.

  • Understand the scenarios, workloads and requirements associated with our largest and most complex customers. Close the product feedback loop between customers and engineering.

  • Understand the storage market landscape, customer pain points, and competitive offerings.

  • End-to-end ownership of feature and capability delivery by working with engineering teams (for design, plan, and delivery), with designers (for user friendly graphical user interfaces (GUI)) and across functional teams for product launch

  • Drive product adoption, growth, and retention through effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging.

  • Measure and monitor product Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), product usage, and feedback, and iterate based on data and insights.

  • Provide direct product engagement as a trusted advisor and SME to our largest and most complex customers of Azure Blob Storage.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Cloud, Object storage, or files and filesystems services and platforms.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and experience using large scale object storage in the cloud.

  • Experience with high-performance network attached filers and filesystems.

  • On-premises SAN and NAS solutions.

  • Experience with large scale data migration solutions.

  • Experience with storage protocols, clients, tools, API, libraries, SDKs

  • Proven track record of delivering successful products and features that meet customer needs and business objectives.

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive product decisions and outcomes.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment, with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
