The Xbox Game Studios Publishing (XGSP) team responsible for the recently released Towerborne , Ara: History Untold , Microsoft Flight Simulator , As Dusk Falls , Ori and the Will of the Wisps , and Tell Me Why is seeking a Senior Producer responsible for working with independent development teams on console and PC games developed for Xbox Services.

The Senior Producer, Central Production will work across our entire portfolio of games being created by independent, world-class development teams. You should have experience with internal and external game development processes, balancing the needs of several projects across multiple platforms. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products and services are effectively adapted for international markets, delivering a seamless user experience for global audiences. You will also assist in refining process, driving best practices and ensuring knowledge sharing across the organization. Must be a team player, highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented with great follow-through skills and the ability to prioritize and manage large complex organizational and executional issues.

Responsibilities

Production Process:

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to establish well-defined schedules, goals, and key milestones.

  • Lead the globalization strategy and execution for multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate globalization requirements into the product development lifecycle.

  • Establish relationships with external vendors and set up workflows and pipelines for our projects. Oversee the process ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.

  • Develop and maintain guidelines, best practices, and workflows to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyzeperformance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Developsdeep relationships with project leads to establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary for assigned project. 

  • Works with XGSP Executive Producer and developer management to help identify and mitigate project risks. 

      

Communication:

  • Works across the publishing organization to drive accountability for shaping and maintaining product goals and dates. 

  • Coordinates and liaises with all necessary departments and divisions to facilitate execution of projects and materials in a professional manner. This includes keeping Xbox department heads apprised of products status. 

  • Works closely with the appropriate production and other internal Xbox staff to research and identify and/or obtain clearances for all materials needed for the creation of assigned projects.  

  • Keep all key stakeholders informed of product status and vision through the preparation and presentation of appropriate project materials (including milestone updates, work-in-progress presentations, etc.) 

      

Strategic Planning:

  • Implementation and management of production processes, policies and procedures. 

  • Improving and evolving the Xbox Publishing production and organizational management structure, process and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in production roles in gaming or entertainment industry, or other multi-disciplinary leadership

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in development and shipping of at least one product release.

  • 3+ years experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.

  • 4 years of experience in developing and managing multi-platform game projects, ensuring integration and quality as a Senior Producer, Game Developer, Publisher or in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and managing multi-platform game projects, ensuring seamless integration and consistent quality across all versions.

  • Multi-language localization experience with a strong understanding of relevant tools, technologies and best practices.  

  • 10+ years’ experience in console and/or PC videogame game production; End to end experience shipping PC and/or console games.

  • Experience in setting, guiding and evaluating multiple styles of production processes. 

  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Game Producers IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
